Cafe de Jagua explores self-identity through migration, memory, and material. Moving from Colombia to New York first broke and then expanded my sense of self and personal style. I grew up in a strict beauty standard where dressing differently often invited judgment. This collection reclaims that constraint by transforming the very symbols of “home” into garments I once felt I couldn’t wear.
